Suzhou, where the classic and modernization coexist, is one of the first 24 famous Chinese historical and cultural cities. Beginning its construction at AD 514, Suzhou has a history of more than 2500 years. As the garden capital of the world, Suzhou has over 60 well-preserved classical gardens now. Located at the center of Yangtze delta, Chin¡¯s most developed region, Suzhou is only 80 kilometers away from Shanghai, an international metropolis which possess the strongest economic power in mainland China. Suzhou Industrial Park (Acronym: SIP)
Approved by the State Council, SIP, a joint project of the Chinese and Singapore governments, is set up at February, 1994. It has an administrative area of 278 square kilometers and the China-Singapore cooperation area takes up 80 square kilometers of it. By occupying only 3.4% of the total land and with 7.4% of the population of Suzhou, SIP contributed around 15% of the total Suzhou economic output it wins the title of Forbes¡¯Most Innovative City in Mainland China and its integrated development indicator ranks the second among the state-level development zones.
How to Get to Suzhou
From Pudong International Airport
High-speed train/Bullet train
Take Metro Line 2 from Pudong International Airport, get off at GuangLan Road Stop, change to the opposite Metro Line 2 that heads to the opposite direction (towards XuJingDong) and then get off at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. The whole trip takes about 100 minutes;
Take the high-speed train or bullet train from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Suzhou. The train ride takes about 25 minutes;
Pudong Airport Metro Line 2 ¡ú GuanglanRoad (change to the same line in the opposite direction) ¡ú Hongqiao Railway Station ¡úSuzhou
You can also take Metro Line 2 from Pudong International Airport, get off at GuangLan Road Stop, change to the opposite Metro Line 2 that heads to the opposite direction, then transfer to Metro Line 1 at People¡¯s Square Stop and get off at Shanghai Railway Station. The whole trip takes about 90 minutes;
Take the high-speed train or bullet train from Shanghai Railway Station to Suzhou. The train ride takes about 35 minutes;

How to arrive at Suzhou International Expo Centre?
From Suzhou Railway Station
Twelve miles away from Suzhou International Expo Centre;
Bus: Take Express Bus Line 2 at the railway station and get off at the International Expo Centre stop; the trip takes about 25 minutes;
Subway: Take Subway Line 2 at the railway station and transfer to Subway Line 1 at the Guangjinanlu stop to Suzhou Cultural Exhibition Center station;
From the Suzhou Industrial Railway Station
4km away from the Suzhou International Expo Centre. It costs about 15 RMB to get there by taxi;
From Suzhou North Railway Station
20km away from the Suzhou International Expo Centre;
Take Subway Line 2 and transfer to Subway Line 1 at the GuangjiNanlu station to Suzhou Cultural Exhibition Center station;
You can take the following buses to the Expo Center: Line 219, 2, 28, 47, 106, 129, 206, 158, 812, 156, 120, 215 and Express Bus line 2.
Subway Line 1 stops at the Expo Centre.
